About the Role The Google Business Profile (GBP) Manager is the operational backbone of our Google Business Profile practice. This role owns the day-to-day execution and strategic optimization of GBP listings across our entire client portfolio , directly impacting local search visibility, map pack rankings, and the results we present to clients in performance meetings. You will work closely with Client Success Managers to ensure every client's GBP presence is fully optimized, actively maintained, and consistently producing measurable results. This is both a hands-on execution role and a strategic one, you will identify opportunities, flag issues, and deliver the reporting that keeps our clients confident in our work. Core Responsibilities Google Business Profile Management Own day-to-day GBP updates across the full client portfolio Perform complete GBP optimization audits for new and existing clients Upload and manage location photos following GBP best practices Create and schedule GBP posts (offers, updates, events, products) Write and optimize services and service descriptions for each listing Build and maintain GBP product listings with accurate descriptions and pricing Lead GBP setup and verification assistance for new locations Manage GBP suspension appeals and reinstatement processes Monitor listings for unauthorized edits, Q&A spam, and policy violations Maintain consistent NAP accuracy across all listings Reporting & Client Deliverables A key output of this role is providing clear, compelling deliverables that Client Success Managers use in client performance meetings. You will be responsible for: Building monthly and quarterly GBP performance summaries (calls, direction requests, website clicks, photo views) Tracking and reporting on GBP ranking improvements and map pack visibility trends Documenting GBP optimization work completed each period for client-facing reporting Flagging wins, anomalies, and opportunities to the Client Success team proactively Supporting the creation of case study materials highlighting GBP-driven results Qualifications Required 2 years of hands-on Google Business Profile management experience Demonstrated experience managing GBP listings for multi-location businesses or franchise brands Strong understanding of local SEO fundamentals, map pack rankings, NAP consistency, citation building Experience navigating GBP suspensions, reinstatements, and policy appeals Familiarity with GBP Insights and local ranking tracking tools (e.g., Local Falcon, BrightLocal, or similar) Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously Strong written communication skills, you will be writing GBP posts, service descriptions, and client-facing summaries Preferred Experience working inside a digital marketing agency environment Knowledge of generative engine optimization (GEO) and AI-driven local search trends Familiarity with Google Business Profile bulk management tools and agency account structures Experience with franchise or home services clients Comfort presenting or contributing to client-facing performance reports What Success Looks Like In the first 90 days, a successful hire will have: Completed a full audit of all active client GBP listings and flagged optimization gaps Established a consistent cadence for photo uploads, posting, and listing maintenance Delivered at least one round of client-facing performance summaries to the CSM team Demonstrated fluency in our reporting templates and deliverable standards Resolved any pending GBP verifications, suspensions, or outstanding listing issues
